Stages Of Mesothelioma

STAGE I
Mesothelioma is localized and is present on only one side of the patient's chest.
STAGE II
Mesothelioma has spread through the chest wall and has afflicted the pleura on the other side of the chest. Mesothelioma may potentially spread to the lymph nodes at this stage as well.
STAGE III
Mesothelioma has continued to spread and has afflicted the lining of the abdominal cavity and potentially affected the lymph nodes outside of the chest area.
STAGE IV
Mesothelioma has spread to other organs and the bloodstream.
